New Stratus Energy Announces Appointment of Mario A. Miranda as Chief Financial Officer

Toronto, Ontario, October 1, 2020 – New Stratus Energy Inc. (TSX.V - NSE) (“New Stratus” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce that Mario A. Miranda CPA, CA has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation, effective immediately.

Mr. Miranda has over 20 years experience in the natural resources and the energy industry. He has broad experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, regulatory and compliance as well as a solid understanding of North America and Latin American business environments. Among other senior positions he has held, Mr. Miranda was the Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Stratus Energy, interim Director of Financial Reporting and budgeting for Kinross Gold Corp. and the Chief Financial Officer of Lake Shore Gold Corp. Mr. Miranda is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelors in Economics from Concordia University, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from McGill University and a Master degree in Finance from Queen’s University.
